Privacy Policy

StudyFileTools is designed to help you process PDF, image, and ZIP files with a browser-first workflow. This policy explains what we process, what we do not collect, and how analytics works.

Last updated: 21 June 2026

Short summary

Our file tools are intended to process files directly in your browser. We do not upload your files to our server for normal tool processing, and we do not read, store, sell, or share your file contents.

1. Files you process

When you use tools such as Merge PDF, Split PDF, Rotate PDF, Compress Image, Images to PDF, ZIP Extractor, ZIP Create, ZIP Lock, or ZIP Unlock, your selected files are processed locally in your browser using client-side JavaScript or WebAssembly libraries.

Files may be temporarily held in your device memory while the tool is running. After you close or refresh the page, this temporary browser state is normally cleared by your browser.

2. What we do not collect

  • We do not intentionally collect your file contents.
  • We do not upload your files to our server for normal processing.
  • We do not intentionally collect file names through analytics.
  • We do not sell your files or personal information.

3. Analytics and cookies

We may use Google Analytics or similar privacy-conscious analytics to understand general usage, improve tools, and fix issues. Analytics may include events such as page view, tool view, file selected, process started, process success, process error, and download.

Analytics is configured to avoid sending file names, file paths, and file contents. We may collect non-content metadata such as tool name, file type, number of files, and approximate file-size bucket.

Your browser or third-party analytics provider may use cookies or similar technologies for measurement and security.

4. Third-party services

Our website may load third-party services such as Google Analytics, Google Fonts, CDN assets, or hosting infrastructure. These services may receive standard technical information such as IP address, browser type, device information, and page URL.

5. Sensitive files

Although our tools are browser-first, you should avoid using highly sensitive, confidential, legally restricted, or regulated files on any online website unless you are comfortable with the risk and have permission to process those files.

6. Children’s privacy

StudyFileTools is a general utility website. It is not designed to knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information, contact us so we can review the issue.

7. Security

We use a browser-first design to reduce the need to transfer files to a server. However, no website, browser, or internet connection can be guaranteed to be completely secure. Always use trusted devices and updated browsers.

8. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Updates will be posted on this page with a revised date.
